Sirran
Sirran is an independently developed Islamic companion. It is not an official application of, affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Quran Foundation, Quran.com, QuranReflect, OpenStreetMap, Google, Apple, or a prayer-time authority unless a particular screen expressly states otherwise. Third-party names identify sources or compatible services and remain the property of their owners.
The publisher gives you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Sirran on devices you own or control, subject to the applicable app-store rules. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, interfere with, or commercially exploit Sirran except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Sirran identifies the source and licence of bundled Quran text and
translations inside the app. On Android, the optional Quran content and
offline-download feature uses Quran Foundation Content APIs for the Dar
Al-Salam Center Turkish translation (translations:210) and
Mishari Rashid al-‘Afasy ayah recitation
(recitations:7). A separately gated, Arabic-only reader surface
may retrieve Tafsir al-Muyassar (tafsirs:16,
ar-tafsir-muyassar) only after the user selects an ayah. Quran
Foundation provided written authorization
for the requested commercial in-app use and long-term offline retention on
19 July 2026 and expressly confirmed the direct-snapshot, daily Content Sync,
and extended device-retention implementation on 30 July 2026. Production
credentials remain server-side. Sirran may initialize the approved catalogue
from direct snapshot endpoints, retain integrity-validated public content
bundles, publish the corresponding content manifest, and check Content Sync
daily with the same resource filter. Android access remains limited to
explicitly enabled builds after affirmative consent. This authorization does
not make Sirran an official or endorsed Quran Foundation application.
On 6 August 2026 Quran Foundation separately confirmed that Sirran may
display Tafsir al-Muyassar ID 16 inside its commercial/freemium
application without a separate third-party licence. The source is
التفسير الميسر, prepared by a committee
of scholars under the supervision of the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing
Complex. The tafsir surface is not retained content: its selected-ayah
response is ephemeral and private, no-store, with no cache,
offline copy, history or account linkage.
For Quran Foundation content delivered through Sirran:
Quran Foundation may change, suspend, or revoke API access. If the applicable permission ends, Sirran may disable the feature and delete affected QF content as required. Source attribution and any third-party content terms shown in Sirran are part of these Terms. See the public Quran Foundation Developer Terms.
Prayer preferences, Quran activity, notes, worship logs, tasbih counts, voice recordings, and similar information can be sensitive. The current supported features keep these items on the device as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for safeguarding your device, backups, exported files, and anything you choose to share through the operating-system share sheet. Do not use Sirran to upload or distribute unlawful, infringing, abusive, or misleading content.
Sirran is a personal utility, not a religious authority. Prayer times depend on location, calculation convention, madhab, high-latitude handling, time zone, clock settings, and any selected official timetable. Qibla direction depends on location and device-sensor quality. Compass interference, calibration, denied permissions, stale location, operating-system scheduling, network failure, and authority-data changes can affect results.
Check important times and directions against a trusted local mosque or authority, especially when travelling, fasting, or making a consequential decision. Translations and tafsir are human works and do not replace the Arabic Quran or qualified scholarly guidance. Sirran does not provide legal, medical, financial, or emergency advice.
Where offered, Sirran Plus is purchased and managed through the applicable app store. The store displays the final local price, taxes, billing period, renewal terms, trial terms, and cancellation controls before purchase. Subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled in the store account settings. The store processes payments and normally handles refund requests, subject to mandatory local consumer law. Deleting Sirran does not by itself cancel a subscription. Features and purchase availability may differ by platform or country.
Optional features may use location, notifications, microphone, camera, motion, calendar, Do Not Disturb, paired-watch connectivity, a maps app, public OpenStreetMap Overpass instances, app-store services, Cloudflare-hosted services, and Quran Foundation services. You can decline optional permissions, although the related feature may then be unavailable. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Detailed data flows are in the Privacy Policy.
Sirran may add, change, suspend, or remove features to improve security, accuracy, compliance, or product quality. Network-backed features may be unavailable because of connectivity, provider limits, maintenance, legal requirements, or revoked permissions. The publisher does not promise that every feature or content source will be available continuously in every region or on every device.
Sirran's original software, design, branding, and documentation belong to the publisher or applicable licensors. Quran text, translations, tafsir, audio, maps, store services, and other third-party materials remain subject to their own attribution and licence terms. If you voluntarily send feedback, you allow the publisher to use it to improve Sirran without an obligation to compensate you, while ownership of your original content remains yours.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sirran is provided "as is" and "as available" without guarantees of uninterrupted operation or that every calculation, sensor reading, notification, translation, commentary, or third-party response will be error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to those mandatory rights, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on Sirran or a third-party service.
You may stop using Sirran at any time. The publisher may restrict a network feature when reasonably necessary to protect users, Quran integrity, security, provider systems, or legal compliance, or when these Terms are materially breached. On termination of a QF-powered feature, cached QF content will be removed as required by Quran Foundation's terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply.
These Terms may change when Sirran's features, laws, store requirements, or third-party conditions change. The effective date will be updated, and material changes will be announced in the app before or when they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance where permitted by law; if you do not agree, stop using the affected service.
These Terms are subject to applicable law and mandatory consumer protections. Nothing here prevents you from using a court, regulator, or dispute mechanism available under non-waivable law in your country.
