Frequently asked questions

How are prayer times calculated?

Using an Umm al-Qura–style calculation with your chosen madhab (Shafi or Hanafi Asr) and an optional Ramadan Isha adjustment. You can use your device location or pick a city manually.

Why do I need to allow location?

Location is used on your device to compute accurate prayer times and the Qibla direction. If you decline, the app uses a manually selected city instead. Your location never leaves your device.

How do prayer notifications work?

They are local reminders scheduled on your device. They are delivered within a short window around each prayer time and require notification permission.

Is the Qibla accurate?

The Qibla bearing is computed from your location; on-device the compass/rotation sensor points the indicator. Calibrate your device compass for best results.

What is Voice Tasbih?

An optional, opt-in feature on iPhone and Android that uses on-device speech recognition. It is off by default, runs entirely on your device (audio never leaves the device), and is disabled when on-device recognition is unavailable.

Where does the Quran text come from?

"Tanzil Quran Text (Simple)" from the Tanzil Project (tanzil.net), used under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 with in-app attribution.

Do you collect my data?

No. See the Privacy Policy.
